Clark Letter
To the Editor,
In response to the article that appeared in the March 24 issue of CM
LIFE.
Why would Central Michigan engage such a controversial artist prior to
Holy Week?
How appropriate. Did Andres Serrano ever take into account that Christ
died for our sins so that we have eternal life through the Lord and giver
of life?
How dare he portray my crucified Lord in a beaker of urine, along with
other "art" that he has developed.
Wasn’t it enough that this wonderful man was nailed to a cross, was scorned,
spit on and a crown of thorns placed upon his head?
Did the Lord commit a crime to deserve such a portal as Serrano depicts?
Andres stated "he considered himself a Christian." Don’t you
think that he should reexamine his Christian values? I certainly think so.
