Smith Letter
To the Editor,
I found the article in the Nov. 5 issue of CM LIFE to be quite interesting. The Senior Associate Executive Director for NACS, Cynthia D’Angelo, said, “Most college stores are mandated not to overcharge . . . They’d be thrown off campus if they overcharge students.”
Well, let’s throw SBX and the University Center Bookstore off campus. After carefully scratching off the blackened original retail price on several of my books, I discovered that I had paid anywhere from 50 cents to $1.50 MORE for my USED books than their BRAND NEW original price.
Hmm, do you think I (and everyone else) was overcharged?
