Women’s hoops team drops game at Toledo
The streak is over.
Following a two-game winning streak, the CMU women’s basketball team fell to the Toledo Rockets, 67-60.
Senior center Shelly Woods and sophomore forward Alicia Rozak led the Chippewas (5-11, 2-3 Mid-American Conference) with 14 points each while point guard Molli Munz poured in 10 including three three-pointers.
The Chips actually shot better than UT (6-8, 3-1 MAC), 40 percent to 35 percent but were outrebounded 46-35.
Rozak and Vershaun Jones each grabbed seven caroms for CMU.
UT’s Kahli Carter was the star in the game as she pulled down 14 boards and dropped in 17 points in 23 minutes.
Central is back in action on Wednesday night as they take on the Miami RedHawks at 7 p.m. in Rose Arena.
