The two dollar winner answers the tough questions
On Jan. 19, 2000 Gary Busey issued
a challenge to CMU students, to answer sixteen questions to “Win Two
Dollars.” The students answered and out of all of the thousands of entries,
there was only one winner. He was Marc Szalka, Woodhaven freshman.
Szalka took time out of his busy schedule to sit
down with the creator of “Who Wants To Win Two Dollars?” to answer some
even tougher questions and discuss his new found fame.
1. Now that you’ve won two bucks, how do you plan
to handle your new found fame and the gold diggers that go along with
it?
Two bucks isn’t that much, so I don’t think I’ll have any problems fighting
off the gold diggers. I do plan to head to Burger King and get some
of those ninety-nine cent Whoppers.
2. How did Gary Busey treat you?
Gary was great, he was very hospitable.
3. How do you think he handled the transition from
the big screen?
I think he handled the transition from the big screen to game shows
well.
4. If you don’t mind me asking, how much are you taking
home after taxes?
I thought I was taking home the full amount. This is all under the table
right?
5. Are you going to continue school, in spite of your
winnings?
Two bucks isn’t going to get me too far in the real world so I’ll stick
with school for now.
6. Have you ever competed in another trivia games?
No. I do play board games from time to time and win sometimes.
7. Which of the recent game show surge do you think
is the best?
“Who Wants To Be A Millionare?” is the best, me and all my friends watch
it every night.
How do you do on them?
I usually do pretty well on getting them right.
Why do you think “Millionare” is the best?
I like how all the pressure is on one person and how the questions get
harder the higher you go up.
8. Britney or Christina?
Britney. Britney is hotter than Christina, plus I have a poster of her
in my room.
9. Pancakes or Flap Jacks?
Pancakes.
10. How do you think the shift from oat based to corn
based feed in ancient Mesopotamia in the Tigres-Euphrates River Valley
has effected the modern day cattle industry in Ethiopia?
I didn’t know there was a cattle industry in Ethiopia.
They don’t.
That’s what I thought.
11. GI Joe or Star Wars toys?
GI Joe. I had all the GI Joe toys, the jeeps and everything.
Who was your favorite?
Snake Eyes was the best, you know the black one with the goggles.
If you want to play “Who Wants
To Win Two Bucks?” get ready, because everyone’s favorite trivia game
will be back on Wednesday and the prize has been upped to four bucks!!!
