Beutler Letter

To the Editor,

I, Bryon Beutler, am writing this letter on behalf of all disabled students at CMU.

I live in Washington Apts. along with many other disabled students. Several times the sidewalk has not been plowed in order to get to class. Even though I have staff with me at all times, there are some students without staff that I’m sure have gotten stuck before and have to wait for someone to come help them out. And many cars parked in NO PARKING ZONES along the sides of the buildings. Several phone calls have been made to get this problem taken care of and no effort was made on CMU’s part.

I also have another request. The handicap ramps should be made more noticeable and easier to find for disabled people. These special locations are often misjudged. As a student at CMU I would like these problems addressed and taken care of as soon as possible.
