Purcell Letter
To the Editor,
I am writing because I have grown tired of seeing a student, whom I know to be a hard worker and a person of integrity, lambasted in these pages.
Aside from anyone’s opinions of campus politics, I can testify that Philip Hernandez is a very good and dedicated student. I have thoroughly enjoyed having Mr. Hernandez in several of my classes, and his campaigning has never detracted from his course work. During the recent SGA campaign, Mr. Hernandez was always in class, even during his 24-hour campaign sweep.
I urge students to treat one another with respect and to admire Mr. Hernandez’s academic commitment, even if you despise his politics.
