Election 2000 – Republican George W. Bush

George W. Bush may well be the best president we ever elect.
Better than Washington, better than Lincoln, better than Kennedy, and
perhaps, even better than Reagan. And much, much better than the despicable
Bill Clinton. Most importantly, Bush will be a much better president than Al
Gore, who will likely retire to his home in Tennessee to sit on his Internet
and invent more lies.
The reasons for a Bush presidency are simple: In the next four years,
government will sort out problems with solutions that either bring us to
uninhibited peace and prosperity, or lead us down the path of debt and dismay.

Bush is the new Moses, leading us to the promised land, while Gore exists as
a new Judas, selling out our country and our cause in exchange for personal
greed, wealth, and power. The differences in philosophy could not be stronger.

Bush is for a smaller, active government, encouraging good business and
higher wages, lower taxes for all. This is why Bush has endorsed a tax cut,
across the board, for all Americans.
Gore, on the other hand, pushes for what he calls "targeted tax
cuts." He is, as usual, lying when he says he wants to cut taxes. In
truth, Gore RAISED taxes in 1993, and his so-called tax cuts he proposes now
don’t help some 50 million Americans. So Bush’s tax plan is better for all of
us.
Another problem America faces is Social Security. The system, as we know it,
will not survive into the golden years of anyone in their 20s. This does not
sit well with many college students, most of whom work and pay social
security taxes, and will never see a dime of that money.
Bush proposes taking a small portion of what you currently pay in social
security taxes and allowing the individual American to invest it in stocks.
This will lead to higher returns, and thus, social security will be saved.
Gore, rather than offer a viable solution, attacks Bush’s plan. But Gore is
wrong. Even the media, known for supporting liberals like Gore, has called
the Gore attacks lies and mistruths.
Don’t be scared by Gore’s lies-the social security plan Bush offers will save
the program for all of us.
Yet, the biggest issue of this campaign is education. Bush wants to allow
poor and middle class people to do what the rich already do-choose where to
send their children to school.
Gore, of course, opposes this idea. He can’t support it, even though it is a
good idea, because Gore is owned by special interest groups.
The ironic thing is that Gore sends his kids to private school, while denying
you and I the right to send our kids to the same school.
By nature of economics, Bush’s plan would help minority students more than
non-minority students. It would also help poorer students much more than rich
students. Yet Gore claims to be the defender of minority rights. Bush thinks
we all have a right to a good education. Gore, apparently, does not.
Then there is the single most important issue of this campaign – the debt.
If the debt is paid off, it acts as a tax cut for all people, because
interest rates will be lower. It will cost less money to buy a house, a car
and go to college.
Bush’s plans will set aside much of the surplus to pay off the debt. It is
what one could call the mature, responsible thing to do.
Gore, on the other hand, wants to spend, spend, spend. Like a toddler at Toys
R Us, Gore has proposed taking the entire surplus and wasting it on more
governmental programs that cost too much and do not work. And this from the
man that promises to reduce government!
Then there is the issue of foreign policy and national defense. In truth,
there is no question that Bush is the true leader on this issue. While Bush
was talking to Colin Powell, Dick Cheney and other great advisers, Gore was
selling our nuclear secrets to the Chinese.
While Bush was promoting a national missile defense system, Gore was busy
selling missiles to the Iranian government. While Bush correctly analyzed the
Balkan situation, calling for a partnership between the US and Russia, Gore
mocked Bush, saying he didn’t know what he was talking about. Turns out Bush
was right and Gore was, as usual, dead wrong.
George Bush is a man of integrity, good ideas and incredible vision. He has
waged a positive campaign of ideas to encourage you to participate in the
renewal of the American Dream. Bush is leading the charge toward this new
America; Gore stands as the ultimate barrier to this future success.
Ours is a fickle generation, unsure of itself and lost in a world of shady
politicians and slick promises. George Bush, I assure you, is not that type
of man. A vote for Bush is a vote for our future.
