Domestic Problems will provide the entertainment during tailgating before the
first home football game.
The group will play a free show at 5 p.m. Thursday outside the Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
The band has released four albums, “Scattered Pieces” (1996), “Play
(1997), “Live” (1999) and “Patiently” (2001).
Domestic Problems brings a mix of instruments to the stage to create an energetic,
positive and fun style of danceable pop/rock. Guitar, saxophone, flute, clarinet,
percussion, bass, trumpet, fluglehorn, mandolin, drums, keyboards and piano, according
to the Domestic Problems Web site, www.domesticproblems.com.
The performance is sponsored by Program Board.
Following the concert, the CMU Chippewas will play against Eastern Kentucky at
7:30 p.m. at the Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
Wayne Brady date change
The date for Wayne Brady’s visit to CMU has moved to Oct. 8.
The show, “Wayne Brady and Friends” was originally scheduled for Oct.
12, but because of a conflict with the “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” star’s
schedule, the date was moved up.
Brady, former host of the VH-1 comedy series, “Vinyl Justice,” and his
three comedian pals tour as “Wayne Brady and Friends,” entertaining
the nation with a live show full of improvisational games based on audience suggestions.
Best know for his superior vocal and improvisational skills during musical games
on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Brady also has a wealth of theatrical
experience, including roles in productions of “A Chorus Line,” “Jesus
Christ Superstar,” “Fences,” and “A Raisin in the Sun.”
He also appeared in “Gepetto,” a recent television musical starring
Drew Carey.
In addition, he hosted the “Cheers and Jeers” portion of the Second
Annual TV Guide Awards and has guest starred on such TV series as “I’ll
Fly Away,” “In the Heat of the Night” and “Home Court.”
Brady’s new sketch comedy show, “The Wayne Brady Show” started
on ABC in August.
