Voices meant to represent campus views

It is important for everyone in the campus community to have the
opportunity to
express their views in CM LIFE’s Voices section.

Likewise, it is vital that the community understand that opinions
expressed outside
of the “Our Voice” section contain personal
viewpoints, and that those
viewpoints are not the official opinions or stance of CM LIFE.

We use the “Our Voice” to do just that — that is
the official opinion,
stance, suggestion or concern of CM LIFE’s editorial board.
Any letters or
columns — specifically those written by LIFE staff members
— are in
no way the collective view of the paper.

We encourage everyone to write in. If you disagree with a personal
viewpoint,
please offer your thoughts. We will never have a true open forum
unless everyone
is heard. But we can’t print dissenting viewpoints unless
people submit them
for publication.

Please keep the letters to 300 words, and include your name,
hometown and class
standing or title.

Only when everyone starts participating in an open dialogue will
we truly begin
to understand differing views, and therefore, each other.
