Campus consultants win trip to SI’s Swimsuit Party

Five campus consultants for the CMU chapter of Sports Illustrated on
Campus are being recognized as the top consultants for the fall
semester.

Mount Pleasant senior Talia Mark, Coldwater senior Matt McDonald,
Saginaw junior Allison Tobin, Chelsea senior Nicole Williams and
Wyandotte junior Lindsay Mitchell were awarded an all-expenses paid
trip to New York City.

Each year, they create a team portfolio that includes a video
showing what is going on with the CMU chapter of SI on Campus, a
compilation of all their promotional ideas and a list of feedback forms.

CMU, along with 86 other schools across the U.S., competes each year
for top honors for their help in the production of SI on Campus.

“We are all extremely excited to be selected as the top campus
consultants,” said Tobin, captain consultant for CMU’s SI on Campus.

The students will leave Feb. 13, for New York City. That night, they
all plan to travel to downtown Manhattan for dinner with the president
of Sports Illustrated.

The following day they will attend a luncheon featuring more than 80
advertising companies.

On Feb. 15, all five of CMU’s campus consultants will be VIP guests
at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Party.

“I went last year and got to meet Tom Arnold, Jerry Rice and Molly
Sims,” Williams said.

With McDonald being the only guy on the trip, he is definitely
looking forward to the swimsuit party.

“I can’t think of a better way to spend my Valentine’s Day than at
the SI Swimsuit Party, surrounded by the world’s most beautiful women,”
he said.

Mark said she was grateful for the trip as well as the rest of her
teammates.

“I can’t even put into words how great an opportunity this is,” she
said.
