Road games at Michigan, Kentucky highlight 2006 football schedule
The lights being installed at Kelly/Shorts Stadium will be put to good use this season.
CMU plays three games under the lights, including its season opener Aug. 31 against Boston College.
It also plays at night against Bowling Green Thursday Oct. 19 and rival Western Michigan Friday Nov. 17.
The Chippewas play five home games and seven on the road this season.
They travel to Michigan Sept. 9, Kentucky Sept. 30 and Temple Nov. 4 for their non-conference road games.
Defending Mid-American Conference champion Akron is CMU’s first home MAC game Sept. 16.
The Homecoming game has yet to be determined.
CMU finishes its season on the road with a pair of Friday games at Northern Illinois Nov. 17 and at Buffalo Nov. 24.
The Chippewas finished 6-5 overall and 5-3 in the MAC last season. It was their first winning season since 1998.
