Linebacker Ike Brown out for seasonFootball coach Brian Kelly said Thursday senior linebacker Ike Brown will miss the rest of the football season.
Brown originally was expected to miss two-to-three weeks, but initial surgery to his knee showed more damage in the area.
He injured his knee returning a kick in the first quarter against Michigan on Sept. 9.
Brown has only played in five quarters this season. He is going to apply for a medical redshirt at the end of the season.
He meets the criteria for being able to apply, but the decision is still left up to the Mid American Conference commissioner and the NCAA.
