UCLA meets Arizona in PAC-10 rematch

No. 7 UCLA Bruins (21-3) at No. 24 Arizona Wildcats (17-7)

Overview: UCLA defeated Arizona at home on Jan. 20. All of UCLA’s losses were on the road. Sophomore forward Marcus Williams leads the Wildcats with 17 points per game, but scored just 11 against UCLA. Bruins junior guard Arron Afflalo scored 22 points against the Wildcats. UCLA is the final ranked opponent Arizona will face in the regular season. The Bruins are on the top of the Pac 10 by just one game over No. 11 Washington State.

No. 4 North Carolina Tar Heels (22-3) at No. 21 Boston College Eagles (18-6)
Time: 9 p.m. Saturday
Stadium: Silvio O. Conte Forum (8,606)
TV: ESPN
Overview: North Carolina is coming off a disappointing loss to Virginia Tech when the Tar Heels made a three-pointer just seconds after the final buzzer. UNC has not lost two consecutive games all season. Boston College has beaten every ranked team it has faced at home by an average of 16 points per game. Senior forward Jared Dudley is averaging 20 points and nine rebounds per game. He faces UNC sophomore forward Tyler Hansbrough, who averages 19 points and eight rebounds per game. Hansbrough scored an average of 24 points in the two games last season against Boston College, but the Tar Heels lost both of those games.

No. 9 Memphis Tigers (21-3) at Gonzaga Bulldogs (18-9)
Time: 6 p.m. Saturday
Stadium: McCarthey Athletic Center (6,000)
TV: ESPN
Overview: The Tigers have won 14 consecutive games. They have a comfortable four-game lead over the rest of Conference USA and are looking to improve their record outside the conference. After being ranked last season, Gonzaga is having a disappointing season, but has defeated three ranked teams, including No. 4 UNC. Gonzaga senior Derek Raivio leads the team in scoring and has not missed a free throw the past eight games, making 40 consecutive free throws and 111 out of 116 on the season. The Tigers have held opponents to only 53 points per game in their last four games.

No. 15 Southern Illinois Salukis (22-5) at No. 12 Butler Bulldogs (24-3)
Time: 4 p.m. Saturday
Stadium: Hinkle Fieldhouse (11,043)
TV: ESPN 2
Overview: Southern Illinois has made it to the NCAA Tournament in the last five seasons and is on an eight-game winning streak. Junior Randal Falker scored 20 points and collected 12 rebounds in SIU’s 51-47 win Tuesday at Missouri State. The Bulldogs are trying to make it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2002-03 season, when they were the No. 12 and made it all the way to the Elite Eight. Butler already has defeated two ranked opponents this season and is undefeated at home.
