How do you feel about college students being allowed to carry guns on college campuses?

“I don’t think it is necessary. It’s a little too much because then the wrong people could still bring guns onto campus.”

Chris Bennett,
Riverview junior

“I don’t think they should be able to because there is no reason to carry a gun on campus. Off-campus, they can do whatever they want.”

Ashley Appling,
Metamora freshman

“I don’t think it is a good idea at all. They think that it will lower events like Virginia Tech, but I don’t think it’s going to do that at all. I just don’t think it is going to help.”

Eric Reed,
Lathrup Village sophomore

“It’s dangerous because we are very young and when somebody young gets mad, you might not be able to control yourself and you’ll do something that is not right.”

Shuna Gong,
China freshman
