Sophomore transfers
Tom Borrelli graduated seven key seniors last year and will go into the 2008-09 season without another standout wrestler. Sophomore 149-pounder Nathaniel Holt will be transferring to Boise State according to a report by the Deseret News.
The Provo, Utah native looked to have a promising season in front of him. He is fresh off of winning the 145.5-pound championship at the United States University Freestyle National Championships. By winning the individual title Holt earned a spot at both the U.S. Olympic Team Trials and the University World Team Trials.
Holt will be competing at the Olympic Team Trials June 13-15 in Las Vegas while the worlds aren’t until May 23 in Colorado Springs. Holt was 16-8 with six falls for CMU during the 2007-08 season.
