Ferris State University

Matt Glowacki, a man who experiences diversity firsthand, traveled to Ferris State University on Nov. 20 to give a lecture on diversity, racism, and body image, utilizing shows like “South Park” and “Family Guy” to make his points, the Ferris Torch reported.

According to the Torch, the lecture went in-depth about shows such as “Family Guy,” and applied episodes to real life. Glowacki was born without legs and competed in the 2000 Australia Paralympics, the Torch reported.

Michigan State University

A new student aid fund at Michigan State University was announced Tuesday to benefit students who are suffering from recent economic problems, according to the State News.

The Adverse Economic Circumstances Fund will be offered to students and families who have been severely affected by the recent economic turmoil, the News reported.
