Brian ManzulloGraduating seniors will gain words of wisdom from three business leaders on commencement day.
Three guest speakers will be featured at the Dec. 13 commencement ceremony, said Director of Media Relations Steve Smith.
The speakers are Kathleen Ligocki, Albert Scaglione and Meena Mutyala.
Ligocki is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Grupos Salinas Motors, a Mexican conglomerate of Grupo Salinas. She was formerly the CEO of Livonia-based Tower Automotive, as well as the vice president of Ford Motor Company. She will speak at the 9:30 a.m. ceremony.
Scaglione, who will speak at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony, founded and currently is the CEO of Park West Gallery, the largest independently owned art gallery in the world. The gallery is based in Southfield and has an affiliate location in Miami.
Mutyala of Westinghouse Electric Company will speak at 5 p.m. She is currently the company’s vice president and business leader of India Strategy. Westinghouse is one of the first companies to utilize nuclear energy and has been in existence for more than 100 years.
Grand Blanc senior Keith Flewelling expressed his gratitude for the incoming speakers.
“It’s nice for them to take their time to come here and give us words of wisdom,” he said. “It’s cool that they’re really successful, but at the same time not all people are looking to be CEOs – just happy,” he said.
Algonac senior Jeff Blevins said the speakers know the skills necessary to become successful after graduation.
