Hair, fashion and fantasy came together on Friday night.
The Organization For Black Unity’s ninth annual fashion show, “Once Upon a Time, A Fashion Fantasy” and was based off of fictional characters, issues, and time periods.
The show coordinator, Canton Senior Jasmine Wilson, had a unique vision to share with the shows cast and audience.
“All the ideas were my ideas,” Wilson said.
Arrionna Dryden was one of more than 40 models scheduled for the show.
“Jasmine had a vision and it was like no other – she just went with it and it was awesome,” said the Detroit sophomore.
Several students, parents and siblings came out to support the production. The show was composed of models, designers and dancers.
“This was my first time going, it was amazing,” said Deanna Dimick, a Rogers City senior.
The models, designers and assistants for the show were eager to make a contribution, Wilson said.
The Organization of Black Unity is a non-profit organization on Central Michigan University’s campus.
