From cheap shows to big tickets, here’s a few concerts to keep in mind
Summer will soon be here, and with it comes cook-outs, barefoot walks and big concerts.
If you associate May, June, July and August with shows, it’s time to start thinking about prioritizing who you want to see and what you can afford. Here’s some possible save the dates to think about:
Coldplay
When: Tuesday, June 2
Where: DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston
How Much: $35 to $97.50
Coldplay, winners of “Song of the Year” and “Best Rock Album” at this year’s 51st Grammy Awards, will be performing at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Tuesday, June 2.
Pavilion seats for the concert are still available for $97.50 from Ticketmaster, but judging by the band’s popularity and the success of their latest album, “Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends,” don’t expect those to last long.
Lawn seats are also available for only $35 for those looking to catch one of the biggest names in pop music this summer, but do not want to put too large of a dent in their wallet.
Keith Urban: Escape Together World Tour w/ Taylor Swift
When: Saturday, June 6
Where: The Palace of Auburn Hills
How Much: $59 to $1,021
Two of the biggest names in country music, Keith Urban and Taylor Swift, will be performing at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday, June 6.
Although tickets are currently sold out, die hard fans can scour eBay and StubHub.com for tickets. But don’t expect to get them for cheap: tickets for “nosebleed” seats on StubHub.com are going for $59 to $169, while floor seats range from $169 to $1,021.
If you don’t mind working all summer to be able to afford seeing two of the most well known names in popular country music, this is definitely the show for you. Just don’t wait too long, because prices are sure to become even more outrageous as the concert date draws near.
