Tim: I'm no football expert, but I am big fan of the Chippewas! I hope the coaches see what you have written and give it due consideration! Based on my layman's observations, it seems to me that you are right. Those runs by Dan really do seem to open up the rest of the offensive options. And, the more the potent our offense, the less the other's team offense has opportunities to score, due to less time of posession for them. Fire Up Chips!

I couldn't agree more! When he run it stops the d from teeing off. It also seem to get his flow going when he started running against Arizonia we got the only score. Love to see the QB draw, option, scramble, anything to stop the pressure. He has to have his number called at least 1 time every series in the first half or we will have the same results as AU!

From listening to the radio. It sounds more like Dan was not involved in the game from the get go. We have basically watched the same offense for the last three years. And anyone who watches or listens to the games knows that Dan is the heart and sole of that offense. Dan has to be involved from the first snap. This game against Arizona was no different then any other time this team has lined up against a larger known opponenet. In all of these games against major schools Dan has not been involved until the end when we are behind. And by that I mean the coaches need to take the reins off of Dan and let him play his game. Dan is what makes this offense tick. There is no running game for the running backs unless Dan is running. There is no passing game if Dan is not running. Dan has to be on the move from the first snap. Dan is the the person who stretches the field for this team. Everything is setup off of Dan. If Dan is held in check by the coaches the whole offense is squandered. Dan is the fear factor of our offense. Until the reins are removed in these big opponent games the CHIPS will have a harder time trying to win these games. If we want our beloved Chippewas to have a national name we need to not just play these major schools but beat these major schools and in all honesty I can't remember the last time AZ was a powerhouse this wasn't the Desert Swarm Defense.
