Honestly I blame the parents. As a kid we were poor too, eating mc.donalds and foods from wal-mart. Yet im not fat, I had a dad who made me go outside and play. He never gave me a computer or a cell phone. I got my first computer and cell at 17. These kids don't have the money to buy these things, so the parents are only giving them the tools to their own obesity. It doesn't take a college education, or a high paying job to tell your kids to go play outside. Yah kids will eat bad food with friends and at school, but packing a lunch and taking away the opportunity to eat crappy lunch food works. It only takes minutes to make a PB&J so the excuse for "not having time" is bull, not to mention that sandwich would be way better than pizza slice. There is so much more to this subject, and Ive looked at the the problems and solutions. I'm not in any way mad a the parents i just think they are making excuses for their sort coming. As a parent its not just Ur job to provide for your kids, but also to protect them. This "parent" generation is getting lazy letting, media, medications, and the world raise there kids. Its sad.

here in Philippines, obesity is also becoming a problem. More and more children are getting obese due to a lifestyle that is not fully of physical activities. most kids just wants to watch TV, play computer games and surf the net.

Obesity is really an epidemic these days. People have become very lazy and does not want to exercise anymore. I do a lot of jogging and brisk walking everyday just to be fit and healthy.

MediaCurves.com conducted a study on 402 Americans regarding their health and weight class based on the U.S. Government standards. Results found that nearly one-third of Midwesterners indicated that they live an unhealthy lifestyle, and the majority (64%) are classified as overweight. The study also revealed that American women are significantly more overweight than American men.
More in depth results can be seen at:
