LeFevour named O’Brien semifinalists
CMU senior quarterback Dan LeFevour has been recognized as one of the nations elite.
On Monday, LeFevour was named one of the 15 semifinalists for the Davey O’Brien Award, which is given to the nation’s best college quarterback each year.
Other noticeable semifinalists include USC freshman Matt Barkley, Notre Dame junior Jimmy Clausen, Penn State senior Daryll Clark and Florida senior Tim Tebow, among others.
LeFevour is currently fifth on the all-time career yards list in Bowl Subdivision history with 13,920. This year, LeFevour has completed 156-of-223 passes (70 percent) with 16 passing touchdowns and four interceptions. He has added 522 yards on 112 attempts with nine touchdowns.
Fans will vote to narrow the field of 15 to three finalists. Fans can vote at voteobrien.org until 1 p.m. on Nov. 22.
