BREAKING NEWS: CMU soccer wins MAC Tournament, beats Miami 1-0

The CMU soccer team has won the Mid-American Conference Tournament today at the CMU Soccer Complex.
Central (16-3-3, 9-0-2 MAC) beat Miami 1-0 on a Clair Horton goal scored 14 minutes and 1 second into the first half. Horton’s shot came from outside the box and went into the top right corner.
Junior goalkeeper Shay Mannino stopped a penalty kick with under three minutes to go to preserve the victory.
The soccer team is unbeaten in 17 games and has not lost since Sept. 6. The Chippewas are 11-0-2 at home this season.
The tournament Championship is CMU’s first ever and guarantees the Chippewas a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
