Breaking News: Soccer to play Purdue at NCAAs
The soccer team will play Purdue (12-5-3) in its first ever appearance in the NCAA tournament.
The Chippewas play the Boilermakers at 5 p.m. on Friday in South Bend, Indiana. Notre Dame is the top seed in CMU’s region.
Purdue finished fourth in the Big Ten, and in its two games against MAC opponents this year, beat Ohio 5-0 Aug. 21 in the season opener and defeated Ball State 6-1 Sept. 7.
Central (16-3-3) is currently riding a 17-game unbeaten streak and has only given up one goal during that time period.
