This is nice information about why social networking is going down in America. As mentioned in post parents want to stay away their children from social networking because of adult predators that’s fine but rather than doing this things why don’t parents can keep eye on them. Today, Social networking in very big field for students from where students can learn lots of new things and improve their knowledge and make friends.

Pew Internet and American Life Project is notoriously a bad source of info as their “studies” involve pure conjecture and opinion, and very small sampling pools.

I have a big problem with the headline here. A Pew study finds no clear connections between online social sites and an overal drop in the sizes of American social circles. Experts attribute the drop to Americans being less neighborhood focused, busy, and somewhat paranoid.

You interview some folks on campus and they see a connection between social skill loss and online networks. Your headline reads “Study shows online networking could hurt social skills”

You just flunked journo 101! How about ‘Students think Online Networks Hurt Social Skills.’ At least then you can make the story relate to what the students said not what experts didn’t say.

I couldn’t disagree more! People need to understand that there is shift between “virtual worlds” and “real life”. They are merging together at a rate faster than anyone could expect. People are not lacking in social skills they are simply adapting to the new method of being social.
