To recyclefreak..
I'm all for recycling, but only to a degree. Sometimes I wonder if some of these environmentalists are following these ways just because...
Why not have a "use less" initiative?
I see people carrying around those 80 lb capacity bookstore backs that are holding nothing but a single book or a pack of gum..why not focus on things like that instead of just recycling..which may or may not be as useful as people praise it to be?

Recycle at CMU is working hard to increase the number of recycling receptacles around campus. Up to 80% of "garbage" is actually recyclable! So, instead of providing more trash cans, a better option would be to provide more recycling receptacles and educate the students at CMU on the power of recycling!

I agree that we need more trash and recycling bins around campus, but there is NO EXCUSE for anyone to throw their garbage on the ground. How hard is it to hold on to your coffee cup or whatever until you get to a trash can? We are adults and should not be inconsiderate by expecting others to pick up after us.
