Sports Update: Men’s basketball loses at Wright State
The men’s basketball team lost its second straight game in a 69-53 loss Tuesday at Wright State.
Senior guard Jordan Bitzer led CMU (2-3) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Senior forward Chris Kellermann also scored in double figures, finishing with 12.
The Chippewas never held the lead during the game and was outshot 38.6 percent to 32.7%. CMU however outrebounded Wright State 38-30.
Vaughn Duggins and Todd Brown led Wright State, scoring 21 and 20 points respectively.
CMU plays Purdue at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in West Lafeyette. The game will be shown on the Big Ten Network.
