email

The CMU football team will play the Ohio Bobcats in the Mid-American Conference Championship at 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at Ford Field in Detroit.

Ohio (9-3 overall, 7-1 MAC) beat Temple 35-17 Friday to clinch the MAC East bid. The Chippewas and Bobcats will play in the MAC Championship for the second time in four seasons – CMU beat Ohio 31-10 in the 2006 title game.

Ohio has won seven of its last eight games, losing 20-11 to Kent State on Oct. 24.

Good win, outside of the 4th quarter bit of a comeback, was it really much of a game? Haha.
Good win though, seriously. Outside of the unfortunate Boston College game, which our chances were 50/50 before the unfortunate 3rd quarter which led to the result that was…..hell of a season up to this point. To be honest, unless we were to lose the MAC title this next week….look for us to possibly get into the Top 25 ranking that we obviously deserve EXCEPT ONLY because of the Boston College loss. Since then, if we win this title game look for us, depending on whatever happens around us this coming week, to be #25 or #24 going into our obvious bowl game, win or lose…. GO CMU. We deserve it d—-it.

Would have been a better game had CMU not been cheap shotting our players. It was obvious they were gunning to hurt what was left of our team. Thompson (CB) is having a great game and making big stops, so CMU puts in a reserve player and takes his knees out? That kind of crap is unacceptable at any level of play. Then 4th quarter comes along and they start shooting for Scott, despite having a 10 point lead and not really having much to worry about. Come on keep it clean guys. Oh well OU still wins halftime, your football team may #1 in the MAC but the 110 is #1 in the Nation.
