Some Guy, really glad you finally got Internet under that bridge, troll. Central won the game, and did get national exposure. For the record, we also defeated MSU this year, so much for "they simply cannot compete with MSU..." Central was the only team in Michigan to get ranked, beat every other D-1 football program in Michigan except for the Wolverines who we did not play (and probably could have defeated in 2009), and improved our team prestige. So you can fool yourself all you want, but in 2009, Central had the best Michigan team in college football.

PS-Spelling and grammar go a long way in making a convincing argument. "They're" and "their," for example. Must be that Big Ten education at work...

That is a lot of money for a football game especially one that they lost. The justifications are also a joke, extending the value of the university, more exposure, inspiring alumni to become more connected to CMU, and generating pride for faculty and students, you have got to be kidding me. More exposure is the only real reason of those four that might make some sense. The rest is just Dave Heeke spouting off BS excuses for needlessly spending a lot of money. This money needs to be spent elsewhere and for better purposes, CMU has tunnel vision when it comes to their athletic programs which is lets dump all of our money into football because someday we might have a football program that makes money. Now they want to renovate the football stadium, hey lets just throw away some more money while were at, what is wrong with stadium right now? And just for the record I'm not against College sports or even spending money on college sports, I'm just sick and tired of hearing about all this money going towards football when it could spent on other sports programs. CMU needs to stop kidding themselves their a mediocre school and always will be, they simply cannot compete with MSU and Michigan no matter how much they spend there justing throwing money away.
