Bengals claim LeFevour off waivers

Less than 24 hours after being cut by the Chicago Bears, former Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour has landed elsewhere.

LeFevour was claimed off waivers Sunday by the Cincinnati Bengals, who also terminated the contract of backup quarterback J.T. O’Sullivan.

The Bengals currently only have three quarterbacks on their roster, giving LeFevour a chance to develop and compete for the backup job behind starter Carson Palmer.

Backup Jordan Palmer, Carson’s brother, went 7-of-12 for 41 yards and pair of interceptions in three preseason games.

LeFevour went a combined 19-for-41 for 204 yards, a touchdown and interception in four games with Chicago.

Excellent! He really deserves to be on a team where he can grow as a QB and Chicago clearly wasn't the place for that. I wish him all the best luck in Cincy!

    Fire Up Dan!

At least he didn't end up in Detroit!

Keep your head up Dan! In some cases the grass can be greener on the other side! Just do what you do best!!
