Picks of the Week: “Undead Nightmare” and “Runaway”

“Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare” (PS3, X360)

As if a virtual rendition of the early 20th century wasn’t exciting enough, now you can experience the Wild West overrun by zombies.

The downloadable content pack, which can be purchased on Xbox LIVE or the PlayStation Network for $10, alters the picturesque frontier, transforming the landscape and reanimating the dead.

Resume control of ex-outlaw John Marston as you take on the undead and search for a cure for the zombie outbreak.

“Runaway” by Kanye West

West makes his directorial debut with the delightfully bizarre film, “Runaway.” Essentially the story of a female phoenix (played by beautiful fashion model Selita Ebanks) who falls to earth and becomes West’s girlfriend, “Runaway” is an artsy and strange film.

The real highlight is the music, though, all of it coming from West’s forthcoming album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.” The dinner party scene, accompanied by “Devil in a New Dress,” works particularly well.

The 35 minute uncensored film can be streamed for free at West’s website, kanyewest.com.
