President Ross’ annual speech to be held Sept. 7 in Plachta Auditorium

The State of the University Address will be delivered by University President George Ross at 3 p.m. on Sept. 7 in Warriner Hall’s Plachta Auditorium.

Director of Public Relations, Steve Smith, said the speech is open to faculty, students, staff and the general public. It will be streamed live on the Web so off-campus faculty, students and staff can participate as well as others who cannot attend in person, he said.

A reception will follow at 4 p.m. outdoors on Warriner Mall.

If Mr. Ross continues on his current course, he’ll be speaking to an empty auditorium, save a few high-priced med school deans and a dozen or so of his PR flacks eagerly scribbling down his every word.
