Shepherd Resident charged with embezzlement at Shepherd VFW
Shepherd resident Wade Lee Davis faces serveral charges, including a felony count of embezzling between $50,000 and $100,000 from the Shepherd VFW Post 8215.
Davis had been working at the Shepherd VFW Post 8215, 8970 S. Shepherd Road, for about 10 years.
Isabella County Prosecutor Larry Burdick said a four-count warrant by the Michigan State Police was issued to Davis.
“He is also charged with identity theft, illegal use of a financial transaction device and unauthorized credit application,” Burdick said.
Davis was arraigned on Sept. 8.
“The next court date is a preliminary examination which is scheduled for Sept. 29,” Burdick said.
