CMU hockey sweeps Michigan with 3-2 win

The CMU hockey team beat Michigan 3-2, sweeping the weekend with the win on Sunday.

Head coach Mike Willett was pleased with his team’s performance this weekend.

“This was a huge weekend for us to beat a strong Central Region opponent,” Willett said.

CMU went up early, but then the Wolverines pulled ahead. In the final period, forward Matt Cinader and captain Mark Morley each scored give the team the victory.

CMU faces off against Illinois State at Bloomington on Friday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Oct. 15.
