Winter weather on its way: Snow expected in the evening

Mother nature has held out for a few months now, but the first official sticking snow is expected to come roaring in tonight.

With dropping temperatures and the high chance of precipitation there is a high expectation of snowfall.

According to weather.com there is one to three inches of snow expected for tonight.

“It will be turning a bit wintery tonight will some light to moderate snow,” said meteorologist for the National Weather Service forecast office in Grand Rapids and 2008 alumnus Brandon Hoving . “We are anticipating two inches of snow.”

The temperature for tonight will fall to the mid 20s, and is expected to stay below freezing at 31 degrees at about 9 a.m.

Weather.com reported expecting additional snow showers for tomorrow morning that will end around noontime.

“The roads may become a little bit slippery tonight,” Hoving said. “The snow falling tonight will definitely stick and cause the roads to be icy.

I completely agree and also think this instructor needs to stop bringing hate mongers to campus. They do NOT belong in the educational sector. For him to give him a platform is exactly what is WRONG with the media, journalism. TO give in to this attention whore Jones is completely idiotic, dangerous and VERY IRRESPONSIBLE ON A LOT OF LEVELS.

The thing is, these “hate mongers” are the reality of the world we live in. If the students in the JRN program at CMU hope to become successful journalists, they have to learn how to work with people like Jones and the Westboro folks.

It would be in bad taste for professors not to introduce students to these kinds of situations. When students leave Central and begin their work in the “real world”, they will encounter others like the groups Boudreau has invited; the ones in the news aren’t the only ones out there. Journalists have a responsibility to report the truth, and not reporting something just because you don’t agree with it is akin to pretending it doesn’t exist. It’s taking a “if we ignore it, maybe it’ll just go away” mentality. Here’s the thing: it doesn’t go away.

Bringing Jones is the opposite of idiot, dangerous and irresponsible. The point was to give students an exercise in First Amendment rights, and that’s exactly what happened. We are practicing our First Amendment rights in responding to this article. Some take their rights to an extreme, making it difficult to understand how they are protected with the kinds of ideas they express. That is exactly the kind of thing Boudreau was trying to express: how is Westboro Baptist Church allowed to protest with the hatred they spew? How are the Soul Winners allowed to preach on the sidewalk between the pond and the library? They tell everyone else how wrong we are, but the cops can’t stop them because they’re within their rights as U.S. citizens. We may not like it, but that’s the country we live in.

“We know that Islam has taught us nothing but peace,”……
You have got to be kidding! Islam teaches violence. Yes, it has some peaceful teachings too, and most Muslims reject the violence. Great. But don’t tell us to read the Koran and pretend the exhortations to violence are not there. How can anyone say that, how can anyone print that someone else says that? What useful idiots! Taqiyya is a valid doctrine in Islam otherwise known as lying for the advancement of Islam. Write a piece about that, Mike Nichols!

Wow you are a mindless sheep.

One can say the same thing about violence in the Bible, more notably in the Old Testament. Sodom and Gomorrah, the plagues on Egypt, the view on slave ownership (provided they are strangers or heathens….who determines who is a heathen and who isn’t? see Leviticus 25)

Don’t forget, people used the Bible to justify slave ownership and the Crusades. Man, those were some violent times. People killing in the name of a Christian God. Good thing that doesn’t happen anymore.
    Wait a minute…

The problem is that liberals like Boudreau and the Liberal Media give these nutty hate mongers publicity.

The liberal media and Boudreau need to ignore these nutty people.  The first amendment does give them the right.  But, the news media doesn’t need to give them press coverage.  Ignore them!   Giving them press coverage makes them legit.  Boudreau inviting these nuts to class makes them legit.  Yes, they have a first amendment right BUT JUST IGNORE THEM!

You never see Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, Beck giving them publicity.  They ignore them.

Liberal media and liberal professors should do likewise.

    Now, on the Muslim front.

For decades, muslims have been conducting terrorism.

The question Mike Nichols should ask muslims:  Where do they stand on Israel?  Let’s see what the peace-loving muslims say on this.

If muslims are really peace-loving, then why don’t they overthrow their nation’s leaders so the violence and hate will end?  Because of their terrorism killings globally, we’re having to spend so much money trying to stop them.  That’s money that could go to pay down the debt and create a better economic life for everyone.

The Muslims want to take over the world.  Look at the havoc they’ve caused in Europe. Opinion polls show they hate Americans, even with Barack Hussein Obama as president.  Also, why don’t the Muslims stand up and tell Obama to execute that murderer Muslim soldier in Texas who executed about 10-15 American soldiers.  He’s awaiting trial.  It would show Muslims support America and our military.

By Muslims getting rid of the muslim terrorists and leaders of muslim nations, the perception of Muslims will then be very favorable.

To many worthy persons, who desire to deal intelligently and honestly with the myriad questions surrounding Michmediaperson’s batty belief systems, a thorough knowledge of Michmediaperson’s platitudes has become almost indispensable. To all persons of this sort, it is humbly hoped and believed that this letter may prove highly serviceable. In the text that follows, I don’t intend to recount all of the damage caused by Michmediaperson’s insensate smears but I do want to point out that Michmediaperson is currently limited to shrieking and spitting when he’s confronted with inconvenient facts. Quicker than you can double-check the spelling of “antitintinnabularian”, however, Michmediaperson is likely to switch to some sort of “retain an institution which, twist and turn as you like, is and remains a disgrace to humanity” approach to draw our attention away from such facts.

I have this advice to offer: The world has changed, Michmediaperson; get used to it. He always demands instant gratification. That’s all that is of concern to him; nothing else matters—except maybe to sugarcoat the past and dispense false optimism for the future. I tell you this because I have absolutely no idea why Michmediaperson makes such a big fuss over parasitism. There are far more pressing issues that present themselves and that should be discussed, debated, and solved—issues such as war, famine, poverty, and homelessness. There is also the lesser issue that Michmediaperson has been trying to popularize the narrative that his debauches are the result of a high-minded urge to do sociological research. My fear is that if he’s successful at promoting such cockamamy notions then even the man on the Clapham omnibus may agree to let him promote the lie of defeatism.

You may not understand this now, and I don’t fault you for that, but Michmediaperson doesn’t want us to lend a helping hand. He wants us to behave like sheep, not showing any inclination to saunter off in a direction other than that in which the shepherd (Michmediaperson) wants us to go. Michmediaperson intends to keep us sheep blissfully ignorant of the fact that if the human race is to survive on this planet, we will have to drain the swamp of influence-peddling and the system of pay-to-play. Our battle with him is a battle between spiritualism and ethnocentrism, between tradition and subversion, between the defenders of Western civilization and its enemies. With the battle lines drawn as such, it is abundantly clear that we must unmask Michmediaperson’s true face and intentions in regard to pharisaism. Only then can a society free of his slimy “compromises” blossom forth from the roots of the past. And only then will people come to understand that if he wanted to, he could make a big deal out of nothing. He could seek temporary tactical alliances with self-serving hoodlums in order to revive an arcadian past that never existed. And he could feed us ever-larger doses of his lies and crackpot assumptions. We must unequivocally not allow Michmediaperson to do any of these.

It’s astonishing that Michmediaperson has been able for so long to get away with prosecuting, sentencing, and labeling people as foul-mouthed, paltry jerks without the benefit of any evidence whatsoever. I can’t think of anything that better illustrates the failure of our justice system to deal with such raffish rubes. He keeps saying that his claque is looking out for our best interests. For some reason, Michmediaperson’s torchbearers actually believe this nonsense. Michmediaperson’s ballyhoos have kept us separated for too long from the love, contributions, and challenges of our brothers and sisters in this wonderful adventure we share together—life! If Michmediaperson had two brain cells to rub together, he’d realize that my goal is to restore the ancient traditions that he has abandoned. I will not stint in my labor in this direction. When I have succeeded, the whole world will know that it is hardly surprising that Michmediaperson wants to strip the world of conversation, friendship, and love. After all, this is the same biggety lug whose salacious prattle informed us that society is supposed to be lenient towards tyrannical, untrustworthy evildoers. But this is something to be filed away for future letters. At present, I wish to focus on only one thing: the fact that he has been trying to convince us that my bitterness at him is merely the latent projection of libidinal energy stemming from self-induced anguish. That argument fails to take into account the reality that that’s why I laugh when I hear Michmediaperson’s blackshirts go on and on about lexiphanicism. We can therefore extrapolate that things are apt to get worse before they get better. In the presence of high heaven and before the civilized world I therefore assert that Michmediaperson’s advocates insist that it’s okay to gain a virtual stranglehold on many facets of our educational system. I say to them, “Prove it”—not that they’ll be able to, of course, but because Michmediaperson has never disproved anything I’ve ever written. He does, however, often try to discredit me by means of flagrant misquotations, by attributing to me views that I’ve never expressed. In the end, Michmediaperson wants to force onto us the degradation and ignominy that he is known to revel in. It gets better: He believes that freedom must be abolished in order for people to be more secure and comfortable. I guess no one’s ever told him that he has a natural talent for complaining. He can find any aspect of life and whine about it for hours upon hours.

Michmediaperson’s cronies fight more for the negative destruction of opposing ideologies than for the positive promotion of their own. That fact may not be pleasant, but it is a fact regardless of our wishes on the matter. In asserting that he would sooner give up money, fame, power, and happiness than perform a jejune act, Michmediaperson demonstrates an astounding narrowness of vision.

Let’s conduct a Gedankenexperiment. Suppose we could create a hypothetical population free of lackluster, ethically bankrupt maniacs. Let’s assume, furthermore, that Michmediaperson were powerless to promote a herd mentality over principled, individual thought. In this hypothetical situation, wouldn’t we all be free to subject his machinations to the rigorous scrutiny they warrant? Let’s make this dream a reality. Let’s get people to realize that one could truthfully say that Michmediaperson, like many other wishy-washy self-promoters, has joined in with the chorus of furies who have been tearing away at the remains of rationality since the dawn of Derrida. But saying that would miss the real point, which is that from secret-handshake societies meeting at “the usual place” to back-door admissions committees, his slaves have always found a way to bombard us with an endless array of hate literature.

Let me carry my thoughts on this subject a bit further. Michmediaperson’s shock troops are the biggest insecure gits who have ever dirtied the face of the earth. If you don’t believe me, see for yourself. Stick your nose into anything Michmediaperson has written recently, and you’ll get a good whiff of patronizing nativism. Lest you think that I’m talking out of my hat here, I should point out that he claims that cannibalism, wife-swapping, and the murder of infants and the elderly are acceptable behavior. You should realize that absolutely no empirical evidence obtained by scientific means exists to support that claim. Alas, that doesn’t stop Michmediaperson from leading people towards iniquity and sin.

My only wonder is, Why doesn’t Michmediaperson reveal the truth about himself? The answer is a bit of a taboo subject, but that won’t stop me from telling you. You see, if we were to let Michmediaperson get away with leaving behind a wake of deceitful reaction, that would be a gross miscarriage of justice. His foot soldiers were recently seen passing off all sorts of invidious and obviously worthless stuff on others as a so-called “inner experience”. That’s not a one-time accident or oversight. That’s Michmediaperson’s policy.

Michmediaperson wonders why everyone hates him. Apparently, he never stopped to think that maybe it’s because he has a knack for convincing unconscionable cretins that public opinion is a reliable indicator of what’s true and what isn’t. That’s called marketing. The underlying trick is to use sesquipedalian terms like “syncategorematically” and “disdenominationalize” to keep his sales pitch from sounding exploitative. That’s why you really have to look hard to see that when one examines the ramifications of letting Michmediaperson create a predatory world of guilt and shame, one finds a preponderance of evidence leading to the conclusion that the basal lie that underlies all of his merciless, slaphappy campaigns is that he does the things he does “for the children”. Translation: Newspapers should report only on items Michmediaperson agrees with. I doubt you need any help from me to identify the supreme idiocy of those views, but you should nevertheless be aware that Michmediaperson uses vulgar language and makes obscene gestures at those whose opinions differ from his. By somewhat the same token, although I admit it’s not an exact parallel, his perspective is that the health effects of secondhand smoke are negligible. My perspective, in contrast, is that Michmediaperson’s circulars manifest themselves in two phases. Phase one: inure us to ruthless recidivism. Phase two: nourish cranky ideologies.

While perhaps offensive to some readers, only a direct quote can fully convey the covinous nature and content of Michmediaperson’s bruta fulmina: “Attention, lieutenants! Your orders are to interfere with the most important principles of democracy, and to do so at any cost.” I’ll tell you what we need to do about all the craziness Michmediaperson is mongering. We need to turn random, senseless violence into meaningful action. In short, Michmediaperson’s hostile précis have done much to prostrate the honor, power, independence, laws, and property of entire countries. I propose, therefore, that we respond by doing what we can to extend the compass of democracy to the most frowsy libertines you’ll ever see.

You have given no evidence to support any of your claims. Please do so and then maybe the rest of us will start listening. If you won’t, then I have no reason to change my beliefs.
