Winter weather on its way: Snow expected in the evening
Mother nature has held out for a few months now, but the first official sticking snow is expected to come roaring in tonight.
With dropping temperatures and the high chance of precipitation there is a high expectation of snowfall.
According to weather.com there is one to three inches of snow expected for tonight.
“It will be turning a bit wintery tonight will some light to moderate snow,” said meteorologist for the National Weather Service forecast office in Grand Rapids and 2008 alumnus Brandon Hoving . “We are anticipating two inches of snow.”
The temperature for tonight will fall to the mid 20s, and is expected to stay below freezing at 31 degrees at about 9 a.m.
Weather.com reported expecting additional snow showers for tomorrow morning that will end around noontime.
“The roads may become a little bit slippery tonight,” Hoving said. “The snow falling tonight will definitely stick and cause the roads to be icy.
