CMU announces resignation of Denise Green, assistant VP for institutional diversity

Central Michigan University announced Friday the planned resignation of Denise Green, assistant vice president for institutional diversity.

In an email sent out Friday morning, University Provost Gary Shapiro said Green has accepted the position of assistant vice president/vice provost of equity, diversity and inclusion at Ryerson University in Toronto. She starts Sept. 1.

Green, who was named to her current position in May 2007, will conclude her duties at CMU later this summer, Shapiro said.

“I am very grateful for Dr. Green’s leadership in championing cultural change in the areas of equity, diversity and inclusion at CMU,” Shapiro said in the release. “We thank her for her tireless efforts and wish her and her family well as they embark on this new professional endeavor.”
