Addae, Kinville and Wilson named football captains

Senior wide receiver Cody Wilson was named a captain for the second-straight season.

Senior defensive lineman Joe Kinville will join him along with senior defensive back Jahleel Addae. The captains are voted on by the players.

Wilson has caught a pass in 29 consecutive games, ranking him seventh all-time in CMU receptions and 10th in receiving yards. While a captain last year, Wilson was third-team All-MAC, despite missing a few games with a foot injury.

Addae helped represent CMU at MAC Media Day last month. He was a staple in the defense last year with 107 tackles – the teams top returning tackler. The senior safety had 18 tackles and two interceptions against Northern Illinois last fall. He was first-team All-MAC and was named to the preseason watch for the Jim Thorpe award – given out to the nation’s best defensive back.

Last season Kinville, a Northville native, had 50 tackles and helped on a sack. He also intercepted a pass against Western Michigan and returned it 24 yards.

Senior quarterback Ryan Radcliff will not have the captain “C” on his uniform after serving as a captain last year.
