Nearly 1,000 student tickets remain for “Clash at Kelly/Shorts Stadium”; will be given away Tuesday

The Central Michigan Athletics Department announced Friday there are almost 1,000 student tickets remaining for the Sept. 8 “Clash at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.”

The leftover tickets will be given away to students with valid ID cards Tuesday at the Volleyball home opener at McGuirk Arena.

Tickets will be given away beginning at 5:30 p.m., before the Chippewas take on Oakland at 7 p.m.

CMU originally planned to distribute 6,000 tickets and MAINstage, and another 4,000 at the football home opener Thursday against Souteast Missouri State – but fell short on both occasions.

The student section received added seats this season to prepare for the Spartans visit to Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

MSU and the Chippewas will face off Sept. 8 at 3:30 p.m.

It is unbelievable and very disappointing that a student body of 20,000 doesn’t show more support for our team. MSU is making a huge financial sacrifice to assist CMU, EMU, and WMU by playing them on thier home fields.

Put them on sale to the public.
