Female sustains minor injuries from collision on Preston and Isabella
By Emily Grove on September 11, 2012 3:05 pm / no comments
A female was transported to McLaren Central Michigan on Tuesday afternoon after her car was struck by a pickup truck.
The accident occurred at the corner of Preston Street and Isabella Road when a 20-year-old male driving a white Chevrolet Silverado turned into the female’s purple Chrysler Sebring.
Michigan State Police responded to the accident and directed traffic.
State trooper Joe Richards said the female was traveling southbound, while the male was stopped at the intersection waiting to turn north.
“It appears he thought she was turning and he proceeded to pulled out,” Richards said. “He must have overlooked her and they collided.”
Richards said the female was taken to the hospital after complaining of knee pain. The male was uninjured.
