The Central Michigan women’s soccer team will face Michigan (14-5-2) in Ann Arbor during the opening round of the NCAA tournament.
The tournament’s first round will be played Friday through Sunday at 32 different sites.
CMU earned an at-large bid after losing the Mid-American Conference tournament championship 2-1 to Miami (Ohio) Sunday in Oxford, Ohio.
The team hadn’t given up a goal the past four games and won eight of the last nine games heading into Sunday’s matchup.
With a 15-6-1 record this season, including 9-2 in the MAC, the Chippewas finished first in the MAC West Division.
The RedHawks (19-2-1) won the MAC tournament and will play at Tennessee (14-4-3) in the first round.
