Central Michigan University police are offering a $250 reward for information leading to the apprehension of two males who stole a wallet from a student Jan. 13.
Shortly after 2 a.m., a male student was approached on the 200 block of West Broomfield, near parking lot 42 and 7-Eleven, 302 W. Broomfield St., by two unknown males who demanded his wallet.
Although the victim was unharmed and a weapon was not seen, one of the suspects said he had a knife in his pocket.
The victim gave his wallet to the suspects, who then fled south on foot.
Based on video surveillance and interviews, police said the suspects are a college-aged white male, about 5’10’’ with a medium build wearing a black zip-up hoodie and blue jeans, and an African American male, about 6’ with a medium build wearing a gray hoodie jacket and blue jeans.
Police, with the help of the victim, were able to develop a composite sketch of one of the suspects. Police do not have enough information for a sketch of the second individual.
Anyone with information should contact Detective Michael Sienkiewicz at 989-774-3081.
