Students interested in raising awareness for HIV/AIDS will have the opportunity to do just that Saturday during a 5k.
AIDS Walk Michigan, a non-profit organization founded in 1998, aims to raise awareness of the HIV/AIDS virus by hosting and organizing 5k walks. Money raised from donations will go toward local AIDS services.
The walk begins at Island Park, 331 N. Main St., Saturday at 10 a.m. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and lunch will be served afterward.
The group is asking for a $10 donation in order to walk.
