Business of the Week: Sweet Tooth Bakery

Central Michigan Life’s “Business of the Week” highlights notable Mount Pleasant businesses. This week, staff reporter Kevin Andrews spoke with Sweet Tooth Bakery owner Chakib Senni about what the business offers and what sets it apart from others.

Open for about a year, Sweet Tooth is located in the strip mall near Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Specializing in French-style pastries and baked goods, the shop enjoys holiday-themed offerings throughout the year.

Senni looks forward to the Christmas-themed offerings coming up this month, following traditional Thanksgiving items from November.

Location: 2116 S. Mission St.

Hours of Operations: Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Number of employees: One

What do you specialize in? Items like French pastries, French bread, baguette, brioche and croissants.

What is most popular among customers? In pastries, most of the people like the almond croissants and the cinnamon rolls.

Available Specials: For Thanksgiving we had pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin rolls, apple pie and pecan pie. For Christmas, we’re going to have a large variety, including Christmas cake and French logs with French macaroons.
