New York is not the only city that never sleeps.

Even a city of 26,675 people ticks every hour of the day.

Mount Pleasant, Mich., is filled with people of all walks of life, from the college student at Central Michigan University studying for an exam to the overnight janitor working just to pay the bills.

Central Michigan Life chronicled the entire 24-hour period of Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009. It was Homecoming for many at CMU but, as you will see, so much more is happening around Mount Pleasant.

Take a look at the sights, sounds and personalities of Central Michigan.
