Saturday Night Live

Tickets to see Colin Quinn are up for grabs.
Quinn, the former anchor of Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, will perform a stand-up comedy April 17.
Quinn’s performance begins at 8 p.m. in Rose Arena. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are currently available at the CMU Box Office in the Bovee University Center. Up to four tickets are free to each students with a Chip ID. Tickets for non-students are $3.
As an added bonus, from 1 to 3 p.m. April 17, students will have a chance to win free prizes and a chance to open for Quinn that night. Students who cannot attend may still register to win by calling 800-843-2536 before April 13.
Quinn was also one of the original people to appear in the 1980s MTV game show, Remote Control. He was a writer for Saturday Night Live and is currently performing a one-man Broadway show called Colin Quinn an Irish Wake. He has performed stand-up comedy for 14 years.
The event is sponsored by On The Fly Productions, The Comedy Lab, Pontiac Sunfire, College Television Network, Salon Selectives and Coty Rimmel London.
“It’s a free event and he’s a nationally known comedian,” said On The Fly adviser Dani Hiar, graphic design coordinator for Media Graphics. “How often do you see a semi-famous person on campus? It gives a first hand look at what kind of programs can be and are offered on campus.”
