Letter: Lennox should find a new talking point

How many times does $43,000 go into $450,000? Just over ten.

I propose Topinabee senior Dennis Lennox II should be 10 times more irate over CMU's sexual harassment settlement than Program Board's expenditure on entertainment.

CMU's responsibility is to provide a safe environment for students - which they not only failed to do, but at an extreme cost.

Along with the $450,000 blow to our pocket book was the even bigger blow to our reputation and overall goodwill of our students.

On the other hand, Program Board's responsibility is to bring big names to campus. And they succeeded in booking a very popular rising comedian.

Personally, I don't think you can even put a price on laughing until you almost pee your pants. As a student and taxpayer, I am thrilled with the excellent job the group does.

In tough times they are bringing smiles to CMU. I don't know what kind of grouch would bash that, especially on Program Board's birthday.
