Anderson signs with New England Patriots as free agent
Central Michigan's all-time leading receiver will get a shot at the next level.
Bryan Anderson said Saturday via text message he has signed a deal with the New England Patriots and will report next week.
In New England, the 6-foot-5, 219-pound Rockford native joins a team that added fellow Mid-American Conference receiver Taylor Price (Ohio) with its third-round pick.
With Price's pending signing, Anderson must make an impression amidst 10 other receivers.
Anderson's 54 consecutive games with a reception is an NCAA record and his 3,648 receiving yards and 28 touchdown receptions rank first in CMU history.
