A Saginaw Township-based radiology group, which includes a Central Michigan University trustee, has pledged $100,000 to the College of Medicine.

According to reports in The Saginaw News, Advanced Diagnostic Imaging will give the money to CMU in $20,000 installments. CMU Trustee Dr. Sam Kottamasu is involved with this 29-member group.

But this isn't the first time Kottamasu has been apart of a financial pledge to the medical school project. In December 2008, he and then-University President Michael Rao each announced they'd donate $100,000.

In September, the board of trustees announced it was still half way to its $25-million fundraising goal. The College of Medicine is scheduled to open in 2013 to a class of 60 students.
