CMU campus and Global Campus closed due to poor weather

Central Michigan University Friday closed due to poor weather conditions.

Classes at the university's on campus and Global Campus locations have been cancelled, according to an email issued by University Communications. Both the Residence Halls and the Student Activities Center  will remain open, however all business operations are closed as well.

Dangerous winter weather in Mount Pleasant was a persistent problem on Friday, causing nearly 30 car crashes on Highway US-127. The highway was closed Friday afternoon and would remain closed for an estimated four hours.
