BRIEF: Baseball and softball postpone games scheduled for wednesday
The winter weather has not given so easily.
Central Michigan Athletics announced this week that softball and baseball contests scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 have been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions.
Baseball's contest at Michigan State has been rescheduled to Tuesday, April 8. The game will be played at 3:05 p.m. at McLane Baseball Stadium.
Detroit Mercy has cancelled their doubleheader against the Chippewa softball team, with no date set for a rescheduled game.
Both teams will be back in action Friday, March 28 in their home opener games, also marking the start of conference play.
Baseball will take the field at 3:05 p.m. in Theunissen Stadium for a three game series against Miami this weekend, with games on Saturday and Sunday.
Softball starts their doubleheader against Akron at 1 p.m. on Friday, with two games against Ohio this weekend.
